Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Bo - hello!
I'm a student/graphic designer (figure those ergonomics). I've also been studying bellydance for the past three years, which has led into yoga as well. Middle of last year I began experiencing ongoing back pain - I've always had back pain, but this was constant, and it became really unbearable. Got myself to the doctor, and got diagnosed with scoliosis. I've been in physical therapy since October (mostly on the balance ball, but also using some yoga), and I just got the pass to do some weightlifting. Yay!
I live one block away from a -very- compact gym. Our neighborhood isn't the best, so this is a low-tech, community oriented sort of place. I got a membership there, and met some of the people, and tomorrow morning I'm going in for my first session. I'm mainly interested in getting in better shape - not really losing weight, just building my stamina and strength. I used to do a lot of backpacking in high school, and I'm dismayed at how much stamina I've lost, even with all the dancing that I do.
So that's me, and hello! I hope I can get and offer advice here (probably get more than I offer).
