For how long did you study, before the exam? I'd really like to get this cert., but I'm wondering if 2 months is enough time for study. I've already taken a course--a primer, pretty much, that covered physiology, kinesiology, anatomy, etc.

Depending on your Personal training experience you might not need to study at all. If you understand the movements you use and see in the gym plus have a basic knowledge exercise science you should have no problem.

I'm not as familiar with the NSCA-CPT exam as I am with the CSCS, since that's the certification I hold from them. I would recommend, however, going over all the study material thoroughly. Assuming the text book is similar to the CSCS, you should have questions at the end of each chapter. By quizzing yourself you should get a general sense of where you stand.

Hey, congrats on taking the test!! I just got my NSCA-CPT book for studying to take the test in November and I would love, love to have a couple of study buddies and would like to borrow or purchase some practice tests from some one who is not using them.

    thanks
